I grew up in the rural town of Mountain View located in the southwest corner of Wyoming. As the name suggests, the town sits in the foothills of the rugged Uinta mountain range. I spent much of my time as a youth hunting and fishing in the wild spaces of Wyoming and during these adventures it seems I have developed a need to be outdoors. I guess you might call it an outdoor addiction. Getting myself to quiet, wide open spaces helps me clear my mind and reconnect with the world.

After graduating high school I moved to the four seasoned Salt Lake City in northern Utah and began to tour the beautiful national parks in the west. During these trips I was seeing some incredible scenes and unique weather events and I wanted to start to capture these moments. I wanted to record these moments in time for two reasons; 1) to share the experience with others, 2) I wanted to have a chance to revisit the vignette of that experience outside of my own often faulty memory. I started taking a camera along on my adventures and 10 years later I’ve found myself in a whirlwind of photography and outdoor travel. I have never participated in a hobby that I’ve enjoyed as much as I have nature photography. My fire for capturing memorable images has never been stronger and I’m excited to see where the journey will take me next.
